The museum is accommodated in a modern timber building in the village centre. For a long time, mountaineering was a male domain. The exhibition showcases pioneering female alpinists of the 19th and 20th centuries. At the same time, it directs attention to women who have always lived and worked in the mountains: high-alpine farming women, herdswomen, female poachers, smugglers and mountain guides.
